- Follow directions on plant tag provided with you plant
- The consumer is the last link to healthy plants. Water and fertilize on a regular basis. (we recommend feeding your plant at least once a week)
- Remove dead flowers and broken branches weekly. This reduces fungus and keeps plants healthy.
- Annuals cannot be planted until all dangers of frost have passed. We recommend Mother’s Day.
- It is best to water early in the day. The foliage should be dry by nightfall to lessen the chance for disease.
- If planting in containers, use a light soil. Mix in some peat moss to hold moisture.
- Soil in containers should be kept a few inches below the top to allow for better watering. If not, the water will run over the pot and not benefit the plants.
- When planting gerbera daisies keep the center leaves picked out to allow the sun light to get to the new buds. Also cut out any dying flowers, including the stem. (Picture below)
